i wanted something "springy" & "valentinesy" to hang on my door, but wasn't sure i wanted to make another wreath. so this is what i came up with.
it's kinda like a valentine's day wreath, except, not. :)
wanna make one too? here's how:
gather...
- a few sheets of felt in the colors you want {i used 6 sheets}
- a few sheets of felt in the colors you want {i used 6 sheets}
- a glue gun
- scissors
- ribbon
- a heart template
- cardoard
trace and cut out your heart--whatever size/shape you want.
next, glue your ribbon at the top for hanging.
cut your felt into strips of about 1 1/2"-2". some of them i cut even smaller for variety.
to make all the flowers, glue long-ways down one side of your felt strip and fold together
once it's folded together, cut small loops part way through your felt strip.
now glue and roll until it looks like a flower!
one flower down! now do all your strips this way. you can vary the thickness of each loop if you want.
once you've made all your flowers, start gluing them on to your cardboard heart. i started along the edges and kinda filled in the middle as i went along.
hang on your door and enjoy the spring-time colors!!
happy valentine's day!!!

That is lovely!
